1. Who we are

Mentes Inc ("Mentes", "we", "us", "our") is a creative studio headquartered in Florida, United States. We operate the website at mentesinc.com and provide web design, brand identity, advertising, and growth strategy services to businesses worldwide.

2. What we collect

Information you provide

When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company (optional), the service you're interested in, and the message you write. We use this to respond to your inquiry and discuss working together.

Information collected automatically

We use a privacy-respecting, self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) to understand how visitors interact with our site. This logs anonymous, aggregated information such as pages visited, referrer, device type, and approximate country — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. Umami does not collect or store personal identifiers.

Our servers automatically log technical metadata for security and debugging (HTTP request method and path, response code, a salted hash of your IP address, your browser's User-Agent string, and the timestamp). Logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted.

What we don't collect

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not sell or rent your information. We do not run cross-site retargeting pixels on this website.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your contact-form inquiry.
• Discuss potential projects and send proposals.
• Send transactional emails related to a project you've engaged us for.
• Improve our website and services based on aggregate analytics.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not send marketing emails unless you've explicitly opted in. If we ever start a newsletter, opt-in will be opt-in — never automatic.

4. Service providers we share data with

To operate the site and serve you, a small set of third-party providers process your data on our behalf:

• DigitalOcean — cloud hosting (United States).
• Resend — transactional email delivery for contact-form notifications and replies.
• Cloudflare — DNS and (where applicable) edge protection.
• Google Fonts — webfont delivery (the font CSS file).

These providers process data only to perform the service we've contracted them for and are bound by their own privacy policies. We do not share your information with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.

5. How long we keep your data

Contact-form submissions and conversation threads are kept for as long as you remain a prospective or active client, and for up to 24 months after our last interaction. After that we delete them on a rolling basis. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).

Anonymous analytics data is retained for 24 months in aggregate.

6. International transfers

Our servers and most of our service providers are located in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We rely on standard contractual safeguards where applicable.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over the personal data we hold about you. These include the right to:

• Know what we've collected about you.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@mentesinc.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and describe what you'd like us to do. We'll respond within 30 days. If you believe we haven't honored your rights, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS for all traffic, IP-hashing instead of plain-text IP storage, magic-link authentication for our admin dashboard (no passwords stored), rate-limiting on public endpoints, and least-privilege access on infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we've inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, when reasonable, notify recent contacts by email. Continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
